ITRON SMART CITY CHALLENGE Program overview WHAT A technology accelerator that brings together the world's most talented and innovative Io. T developers to compete for the chance to work with leading smart cities to catalyze innovation and deployment of breakthrough solutions. WHY To become part of an ecosystem that tackles a set of key operational and societal challenges. The goal is to identify targeted solutions that enhance citizen wellbeing, improve efficiencies, and build more resourceful communities. HOW Technology providers will leverage Itron’s open Io. T platform and standards-based developer tools for rapid prototyping of Io. T solutions. THE PRIZE Companies selected to participate will receive free hardware development kits and engineering support to integrate solutions onto the Itron platform. The winners will receive marketing and promotional support from Itron as well as the opportunity to deploy their solution in a real-world environment.
