USDA NASS Crop Progress (through May 26) Corn planting nationally slowest all time through May 26 at 58%. Beans 2 nd (behind 1995) at 29%. Iowa at 76% and 32% actually better than most other states.

Iowa somewhat better planting than most places. • Much cooler than average for May. • Precipitation above to well above average statewide. • Outlook info: • Rain chances continue, though likely less than recent. • Some warmth this week with likely cooler next week. • Wet soils issues continue with more flooding possible.
