The varied landscape island of Thassos impressed with three mountain ranges, waterfalls and marble cliffs, extending over some 380 square kilometers of island area. The archaeological sites include the ancient naval port of the island's capital Limenas located on a mountainside and theater from the 4 th Century BC. Gold mines and marble - the tasty wine and marvelous honey make the island famous.
