IS-GNSS Oct. 2014 - Slide 15 Performance Improvement Motivation • Provide Vertical Guidance – APV-I (LPV) or hopefully CAT-I (LPV 200) performance. • Hardware and Software Upgrade – Addition of up to 10 Ground Monitor Stations. – Installation of new algorithm developed by the ENRI. ü The current system uses the algorithm same as IOC WAAS. ü The algorithm should be improved to adapt to the Japanese ionosphere conditions which are more severe than U. S. and mitigate ionosphere effect.
