A LA Used to say ‘to the’ – Used with feminine words Ella va a la escuela. Nosotros vamos a la sinagoga.

AL Is a combination of ‘a + el’ meaning ‘to the’. (Say ‘a + el’ quickly to understand why it is ‘al’) Used only with masculine words. Ella va al museo. Ud. va al parque.
