What does it do? � � � Examines applications for patents for inventions Registers utility models and industrial designs Examines applications for registration of marks, indication and integrated circuits Registers technology transfer arrangements Settles disputes involving technology transport payments

What does it do? � � � Develops and Implements strategies to promote and facilitate technology transfer Promotes the use of patent information for the development of technology Publishes the patents, marks, utility models and industrial designs it has issued and approved as well as the technology transfer arrangements that have been registered

What does it do? � � Settles contested proceedings which affect Intellectual Property rights Coordinates with other government agencies and the private sector to formulate and implement plans and policies which increase the protection of intellectual property rights in the Philippines.
