INVICTUS GAMES • The Invictus Games is an event similar to the Olympic Games,

INVICTUS GAMES • The Invictus Games is an event similar to the Olympic Games, but is for injured military servicemen and women. • The event will be held in Sydney, Australia this year. • The Games start on the 20 th of October and end on the 27 th of October. • There will be 500 competitors and 1000 family members from more than 30 countries. • The Invictus Games is being held to help give something for the servicemen and women to strive for. • These Games have all been organized by Prince Harry. The Invictus Games has been held in London 2014, Orlando 2016, Toronto 2017 and Sydney 2018

Our Goals • To develop a community project where Shepparton HS students will work as a team engaging our school into a community based project. • We have researched the Invictus Games and thought it would be a nice gesture to give the participants a welcome to The Invictus Games hamper sourced from businesses in Shepparton. • The Invictus Games involves soldiers from more then 30 countries coming together to compete against each other in variety of sports. • Shepparton High School students have set a challenge to make 72 hampers that we will deliver to Sydney September or early October before the Games start.

Plan • Four students will travel to Sydney with 2 staff to drop off the hampers in early October to The Australian Academy of Sport and Recreation. • We will acknowledge all of our sponsors by writing messages of good will that will include recognition of the sponsors. • We will approach local and National Newspapers and Television networks to promote our initiative and acknowledge all sponsors in all of media releases. • We will promote our project in social media.

Donations • We would be most grateful of any donations that could assist Shepparton HS students to create 72 hampers that will be given to competing athletes. We hope that this project will help promote Shepparton in the wider community as a place where great things do happen.
