INTRODUCTION: Types of Education Your Education: Formal Education Ø By law, all children must get a Formal Education. § The state provides this education for kids. § Some choose private education. § Most people start with Pre-school. 4

INTRODUCTION: Types of Education Your Education: General Education Includes Ø You started with learning your numbers. Ø Then you learned to count things. Ø Soon you could add, subtract, multiply and divide. Ø You began with learning your A, B, C’s. Ø Then you put letters together to make words. Ø With words you began to make sentences Ø You can study all about the world Ø and how it works!!! 5

INTRODUCTION: Types of Education: Physical Education Ø We not only need to be educated about our world but we need to be educated about ourselves and our bodies. Ø The basic things we learn are Exercise, Health & Nutrition. § These subjects help us to care for our bodies. 6
