Why working groups? • Working in a team is nicer than working alone • Intensive analysis of a particular subject of particle physics • when working on tasks/problems one has to cope with various challenges -> find your own/team strategies and reorganize knowledge in your brain • chance for you to not only receive information but rather do something, become creative, . . . • Improve the quality of our programmes by further developing activities • better understand your colleagues 4

Longer break to consider and make a decision (today: 11 am 4: 30 pm) 4. Decisive Phase (today: 4: 30 -5: 30 pm) 5. Preparation and first meeting of your working group (dates will be fixed individually with your working group leader) 6. Share your first ideas with the whole group (14 July 2014, afternoon) 7. Short interim report after 2 weeks (18 July 2014, morning) 8. Final Reports (24 -25 July 2014) 5
