Dear Love Doctor, I’m a Burying Beetle. I met my wife a few years a go and it was love at first sight. I thought I found paradise until she turned into a frightful harridan. Nag, Nag… When I try to relax and stand on my head, she knocks me over or bites me. What have I done to deserve this? I Hate the Strife with my Wife in Ontario It has nothing to do with wanting to abuse you. The fact is by standing on your head you produce an odor that attracts her. This is just her way of attracting you. Dear Love Doctor, I’m an Australian Seaweed Fly, and I’m a Sensitive New Age Guy. I know that no means no-but that doesn’t get me anywhere. The girls in my species are tough: whenever I make friendly overtures I get beaten up. Why are they so hostile, and is there anything I can do about it? Mr. Nice is Mr. Frustrated in Mallacoota Bay The woman in your species want you to overpower them, they would not want another fly who can’t take control.

Thought to be abusive…. Dear Love Doctor, There’s been a frightful accident. I was happily sitting in my usual spot at the bottom of the sea when I felt an itch on my nose. Being a green spoon worm, I don’t have arms and I couldn’t scratch. And I inhaled my husband. I’ve tried sneezing, but he hasn’t reappeared. Is there anything I can do to get him back? Too Much Heavy Breathing near Malta There is no use crying of inhaled husbands. I hate to break it to you but he is not coming back. He is in a chamber in your reproductive tract and he will fertilize the eggs that pass through. Live off of the nourishment you take in.
