What is Prevent? �Prevent is the Government’s strategy to stop people becoming involved in

What is Prevent? �Prevent is the Government’s strategy to stop people becoming involved in violent extremism or support terrorism, in all its forms. �Example of extremist messages This includes hate, crime and criminal damage.

The Government defines extremism as: Any vocal or active opposition to fundamental British Values

The Government defines extremism as: Any vocal or active opposition to fundamental British Values Democracy - State of society characterised by equality of rights and privileges - Your opinion counts and it can influence changes etc. The rule of law - No one is above the law and it is here to protect us - e. g. Health and Safety, E&D etc. Individual liberty - Freedom of speech, your voice counts, freedom of choice etc. Respect and Tolerance - Respect each other and work together to help each other regardless of backgrounds and cultures, ages, genders, sexualities, religions and beliefs.
