Introduction to Internship Towards Global Eminence Ø Internship Program Overview • Internship Division Short-term Long-term Name of courses Credits Short-term Internship 3~6 Internship 1(Hospi&Tour) 3 Internship 2(Hospi&Tour) 6 Long-term internship Max. 15 Notice Course name in College of Hotel &Tourism Management • Work 8 hours per day except the break time , total 160 hours • Credits can be approved as “Elective major” or “Electives” after checking the major similarities with field practice • Short-term internship– max 9 credits , Long-term internship– max 15 credits can be approved • If students get 6 credits through the internship, it can be one of the waivers of graduation thesis’s object • If students didn’t submit the application on time or didn’t apply until the due date, students cannot receive credits for the internship 2
Introduction to Internship Towards Global Eminence Ø Short-term internship·Internship 1, 2 (Hospi&Tour) • Period : 2 months during the winter or summer session(vacation) • Participate only once in one semester • Working max 8 hours per day , 40 hours in week , totally more than 160 hours • Qualification to apply : ① Current students and students on a leave of absence from 2 nd semester of the 2 nd year to 2 st semester of the 4 th year ② Graduate-to-be students should submit all documents related to internship program until 4 weeks before the graduation ceremony day ③ Students who postpone the graduation can not apply (who already finish the regular semester) 3
Introduction to Internship Towards Global Eminence Ø Long-term Internship • Qualification to apply : ① Current students from 1 st semester of the 3 rd year to 2 nd semester of the 4 th year (Students on a leave of absence CAN NOT APPLY) ② Graduate-to-be students should submit all Documents related to internship program until 4 weeks before the graduation ceremony day ③ Students who postpone the graduation can not apply • Period : More than 2 months in regular semester • Approved Credits Division Weeks Credits 8 weeks ~ 12 weeks Max. 6 Long-term 12 weeks ~ 16 weeks Max. 9 Internship 16 weeks ~ 20 weeks Max. 12 20 weeks ~ 24 weeks Max. 15 ※ Participate only once before graduation, Max 15 credits can be approved 4
