Homeopathy in Epidemics/Pandemics In an 1813 typhus epidemic, Hahnemann treated 183 affected patients and none died, compared with a 15% mortality rate in those not treated with homeopathy. Homeopathic treatment (by Hahnemann—see genus epidemics--) in a European cholera epidemic in 1831, and by others in a later cholera epidemic in Cincinnati in 1849 resulted in death rates of 1 -2%, compared with 50% mortality rate for mainstream medical treatment. Adolph Lippe, a homeopathic physician, reported a death rate of zero in the patients he treated for malignant scarlet fever in 1849, compared with a death rate of 90% in those treated with mainstream medicine.

Hydrotherapy It is more desirable, rather than using anti-inflammatories for pain and fever like Ibuprofen, Advil, Aspirin, Tylenol, to use hydrotherapy in the following manner: Hot and Cold Foot Baths with Epsom Salts (if you have them) in the water. Soak feet in very hot water (not scalding) with the water level above the ankles. Renew the heat in the water and remain with feet in water for five to ten minutes. Follow that by running cold tap water over your feet for at least 30 seconds or up to a minute or even soaking your feet in the cold water. Then wrap feet in fluffy towel and lie down and rest for a half an hour.

Hydrotherapy This can be repeated as frequently as necessary. The goal is to stimulate circulation and response to inflammation without suppressing the body’s process of healing. (see reference [5]) Another mode of hydrotherapy: Put on cotton socks which have been soaked in cold tap water and wrung out. Cover those with wool socks and get under the covers. Over a few hours the socks will dry out and the procedure can be repeated.
