OBJECTIVES n To acquire the skills: H/O taking of trauma and elective cases. n Perform O/E of limbs & joints. n The ability to read (XR) radiological images. n Good

IT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU 5 week course. n Study & prepare from the beginning. n

IT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU Be on time for lectures & clinical sessions. n Do not sign attendance for someone else. n

IT IS EXPECTED FROM YOU Each student must attend at least 75% of lectures. n If this is not achieved not be allowed to attend the FINAL EXAM. n

HISTORY n Orthopedics: n Present C/O. n Ask for daily functions: n UL: reach & use (can reach mouth). n LL: weight bearing (gait in knees O. A). n Any previous Rx: n Medical (Brufen vs. Mobic). n Immobilization (splints). n Surgical. n Traditional medicine.

HISTORY Ped. Orthopedic perinatal period. n Trauma ATLS: n n ABCD. n Mechanism of injury (calcenium #). n Force of injury (pathological #). n Initial & definite treatment.

CLINICAL EXAMINATION Patient’s position (in bed / walk in OPD). n Limb’s attitude. n

CLINICAL EXAMINATION n The system we are going to use is: n Inspection = Look n Palpation = Feel n Movement = Move (active / passive) n Do: n Special tests. n Measurements. n Gait. n Neurovascular assessment. n Always compare.
