CAS Aims: to develop students who… S enjoy and find significance in a range of CAS experiences S purposefully reflect upon their experiences S identify goals, develop strategies and determine further actions for personal growth S explore new possibilities, embrace new challenges and adapt to new roles S actively participate in planned, sustained, and collaborative CAS projects S understand that they are members of local and global communities with responsibilities towards each other and the environment

Key Terms S CAS experience – a single event S CAS project – a series of events with a common theme, lasting at least one month S CAS programme – all of a student’s CAS experiences, including the CAS project S CAS portfolio – a record of the student’s CAS programme demonstrating fulfillment of all requirements

CAS Requirements S Regular (weekly, ideally) attention S No hours requirements, but good idea to track them for scholarship applications S Sustained attention S Programme lasting 18 months S Each Learning Outcome demonstrated at least once S Each CAS strand addressed and roughly balanced S Completion of the CAS Project using the CAS Stages
