Occupied - Weekly The room is occupied by a patient. 3. Between Patients: The room has vacated, and will be prepared for the arrival of a new patient. Do not bring the cart into the room, carry in only the supplies you will need. q Empty Trash / Medical Waste Containers Always wear gloves. Put on new gloves when waste is properly sealed and placed in proper receptacles.
