Around 2, 735 years ago, the Greeks were very intelligent and civilised people. They created many things that are so extraordinary we still use them today. Also, they created a modern society (also known as democracy). Did you know the Greeks created the Olympics, but there was only 1 race… A 200 m run!!!

The Greeks have created and thought of many things just like, THE OLYMPICS! When it was first Olympics there was only one sport, it was a 200 metre run. When you think of the Olympics you would think men and women can compete but actually only men can compete, they had to run naked they didn’t wear any Nike joggers(even though it wasn’t a thing then) not even robes or, furthermore the list could go on for days so ill pause it there.

Back in the Greek period, they had a pretty fascinating way of communication. For instance, the alphabet is variously complicated to read(It will upgrade your reading skills a lot!). Anyway, back to the alphabet. As I was saying, the Greeks have a different alphabet some letters even look like pictures like D looks like a dinosaur and H looks like a helicopter. Challenge: can you write your name in Greek.

Greeks are some of the most ancient civilised people they have created lots of things that we still use today (but we just have them in a more modern fashion instead of using wood we use metal). There various things they came up with just like, clocks, yoyos, showers and the water wheel there are many things they created over the years but I cant tell you all of them or the list will last forever!

Would you ever have thought the Greeks invented medicine? Well you were right. The Greeks invented the first ever medicine in 700 BC along with a medical school. The first medicines revolved around the body. Then, they started to create medicines for pets, plants and wild animals.
