Introduction Trajectory is a specialist foresight consultancy based in London. The business was founded in 2008 by three highly experienced foresight and forecasting professionals who first worked together at The Henley Centre for Forecasting in the early 1990 s. They were then involved in both founding and running of The Future Foundation, before setting up Trajectory. We work across the private, public and not for profit sectors on a wide range of projects to develop and inform either future strategy or future policy. We work across all planning and forecasting horizons, from near term to extremely long term. We are futures methodology specialists rather than having expert knowledge in a specific policy area (though our experience has given us specialist, detailed knowledge in several policy areas). Our main methodologies are horizon scanning, driver mapping (PESTLE analysis), Delphi, scenario planning, roadmapping and econometric modelling, but we also include a wide range of variants of those methods (e. g. SWOT Analysis and back-casting). We routinely work with the most senior audiences within our client organisations and our work is often published.
