CONSIDER YOUR AUDIENCE AND CONTENT Recording video is time-consuming so its important to consider your content and your students. Consider these questions: Is there a particular topic all students struggle with learning the content? How can I promote deeper learning in my students so they remember the content long term? How can the Studio analytics in Canvas help me to determine the effectiveness of the video content I create? After you have consider these questions, write a quick outline of the topics you plan to cover with video content.

WRITE A SCRIPT Once you have a list of topics, consider what you plan

WRITE A SCRIPT Once you have a list of topics, consider what you plan to cover in each video Write a script of what you plan to say Try keep a conversational tone as you write the script. Be careful how you phrase your wording especially when you are directing students on how to perform a task. For example, avoid using statements such as "Go here and click this menu". Add more detail to the statements such as "Go to the Home tab and click font drop drown menu to select a different font".

PLANNING A VIDEO Practice with your script and revise as necessary Avoid mentioning dates
