Why did we start Rad. Responder Network? There was no universal tool available for the federal government, state government, tribal, local government and private entities to share radiological emergency data.
2011 Japan Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant accident The US government responses during the Fukushima accident demonstrated that there is a need to have a universal tool for every partner at all levels. This need became an initiative between FEMA, NNSA and EPA, and Rad. Responder Network was the result of this initiative.
