Who are we? Mission Direct is a UK-based Christian charity - established officially in 2004 by Nigel Hyde, Tim Martindale and Ronnie Fleming - to provide everyday people with the opportunity to serve on mission and make an impact in 2 -weeks rather than having to dedicate their entire life to it. We now work in 11 countries across 5 continents, supporting a multitude of partners and projects. Our vision and mission Our Vision is to demonstrate Christian faith through service to the most vulnerable and marginalised people around the world. Our Mission is to take volunteers overseas, working in partnership with local communities and partners to bring sustainable and practical help, hope and change to those in need. What do we o? we build vital infrastructure that facilitates d. Primarily, sustainability, provides opportunities and saves lives. How can you make a difference? You can support the work of Mission Direct without being on a two-week trip overseas. We may only be able to make a small difference one life at a time, but the more of us that do something the bigger the impact. You can make a difference by: Join or create a team We invite teams of volunteers to join our work overseas for 2 weeks. Your morning will be assisting a build and afternoons will be spent supporting community projects. Help at home 2017 see’s us piloting our first UK mission. Our first team will be refurbishing housing for unaccompanied minors arriving here. Teams will last 2 -3 days.
