MASTERColour CDM-Tm Elite Mini GU 6. 5 50 W/930 FAQ’s… When will this new mini lamp be available? The new lamp will be commercially available from October 1 st, 2011. How is it possible to create 5000 lumens in such a small volume? The unique flat top and flat base design provide a maximum space inside the lamp, which is needed to get a 50 W burner inside. Will Philips also provide PGJ 5 mini lamps in 50 W? It will not be possible to fit a 50 W burner in the PGJ 5 lamp, because the PGJ 5 lamps are even smaller than GU 6. 5 lamps. Will the new lamp operate in existing 35 W luminaires? That depends on temperature. We provide a separate design-in guide with a guideline to measure temperatures on the lamp. We can provide assistance for these measurements. We advice a ceramic lamp holder mounted with metal for temperature reasons (avoid plastics). Will the new lamp only operate with the new 50 W mini gear? The 50 W mini lamp will operate with all 50 W HID Philips gear, both in mini and normal size, and with other brand EL gear with End of Life protection. Confidential 9
