Rule 1: Assertive sentence �� Interrogative ����� ��� ��� sentence ��affirmative �� ����� to be verb ������ + n’t + subject ��� + ���� ��� +? Example: 1. Assertive: Habib is working hard. Inter: Isn’t Habib working hard? 2. Assertive: He was very gentle. Inter: Wasn’t he very gentle? 3. Assertive: He is not a good person. Inter: Is he a good person?
Rule 2 ����� negative ���interrogative ���� negative ������ ��� ������ verb���� ���. Example: 1. Assertive : You do not know me well. Inter: Do you know me well? 2. Assertive : This boy doesn’t play football. Inter : Does the boy play football?
Rule 3. (1) ������ verb �����present Indefinite tense ��Assertive Sentence �� Interrogative �������, ������ Don’t/ Doesn’t ���+sub+ ���verb+ �������+? Example: 1. Assertive: You know me well. Inter: Don’t you know me well? 2. Assertive : The boy plays football. Inter: Doesn’t the boy ply football?
Rule 3 : (2) ������ Verb ����� past ��� verb ��present Indefinite tense ������ Didn’t ���+subject+ form + ���� ���+? Example 1. Assertive : They finished their duties. Inter : Didn’t they finish their duties? 2. Assertive : They did not play football yesterday. Inter : Did they play football yesterday ? 3. Assertive: Titu did not try to help his friend. Interrogative : Did Titu try to help his friend? 4. Assertive : We do not break the rule. Interrogative: Do we break the rule?
Rule 4 Assertive sentence �Never ����� Interrogative ���� ever �� ��� nothing ����� anything ��. Example : 1. Assertive: They never went to Dhaka. Interrogative: Did they ever go to Dhaka? 2. Assertive : I know nothing about it. Interrogative: Do I know anything about it?
