Goals of Psychology has four goals when uncovering the mysteries of human or animal behavior: 1)description 2) explanation 3) prediction 4) control 1) Description occurs when a researcher makes an observation about a behavior and writes down everything. 2) Explanation happens next when the researcher comes up with a theory about why it the behavior is occurring.

Goals of Psychology 3) The researcher then makes a prediction about what will happen in the future if the situation stays the same. 4)Finally, the researcher implements control to change the behavior from an undesirable behavior to a desirable behavior.
