What it is • Intrapersonal intelligence is an ability to act on the basis of self-knowledge, creating environments, guiding behaviour, and making decisions based on an accurate picture of oneself. The ability to sensitize to own feelings, own wants and fears, own personal histories, awareness of own strengths and weaknesses, plans and goals.
Why do we need? • To become aware of self: physically, mentally and emotionally. When we understand our selves, we become aware of strengths, beliefs, abilities, likes & dislikes etc. During this process (understanding self), we become aware of various HOM"s and use different opportunities to use and exhibit the same. When people become aware and understand their feelings, they can well connect with their emotions and even manage emotions well.
How do we develop • Observe self minutely (Own behaviour, feelings, fear, physical strength) • Understand own capabilities by giving different exposure (different people, different environment, different physical activity) to self. • Give space to self without judging or labelling self • Take feedback from others • Be with self, write your own thoughts (Personal diary) • By reflecting back
