SAI Independence (SAI France) 2. Audit Communication and Reporting of Audit Results • KSC Work Plan 2020 -22 sought participation of all KSC SC members in Crosscutting Research Projects.

INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee SAI Independence Project Proposal • Project Objectives - Provide insight on threats to and ways of improvement for SAIs Independence - Produce guidance on SAI Independence focusing on mitigation actions to all kind of threats - Practical ways to develop independence - Provide documentation and suggestions in reviewing GUID 9030 – Good practices related to SAI Independence • Placed at QA level 2 • Aimed for completion by 2022 INCOSAI.

INTOSAI Comments of members on Project proposal Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee • In conjunction with reference made to P-10 Mexico Declaration and its guiding GUID 9030 in the draft project initiation document, “Abu Dhabi Declaration” may be cited as an integral part of legal framework for promoting the independence of SAIs (SAI UAE) • Include all activities to be performed at each stage of project implementation against “Review schedule of the deliverable” of PID for clarity and monitoring of timelines (SAI Philippines) • May consider revising format by showing activity; timeline; and deliverable at each stage of the activity. Activities may include quality processes and pilot testing. (SAI Philippines)

INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee Research Project Citizen Participation in Public Audit • KSC Work Plan 2017 -19. • Led by SAI Guatemala. • To gather data on strategies used by SAIs in engaging with citizens/civil society in the Public Audit Process • Document best practices adopted by SAIs in engaging Civil Societies. • Unfortunately due to constraints of resource personnel, project witnessed considerable delays. • SAI Guatemala has proposed not to carry on with project.

INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee Research Project Citizen Participation in Public Audit • CBC is gathering good practices in area of SAI –Civil Society Engagement and Cooperation. • KSC & CBC secretariat coordinating for hosting in Good Practices section of ICP. • Seek approval of KSC SC for withdrawing the project in view of • Resource constraints • Duplication of efforts

INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee • Expert Group for COVID-19 created by SCEI Crosscutting Activities SCEI and IDI Initiatives • Integrating and analyzing information on SAIs’ COVID-19 related efforts. • Request support of members to actively participate in SCEI COVID-19 Initiative. Details available at https: //www. intosaicommunity. net/scei/ • KSC is partnering with IDI and Regions • To support cooperative audit of strong and resilient national public health systems. • Members may widely dessiminate programme among their WG members and consider contributing their expertise to this programme.

INTOSAI Knowledge Sharing & Knowledge Services Committee Crosscutting Activities – • XXX OLACEFS General Assembly is scheduled to be held from 26 -30 October. • 10 th KSC SC sought support of KSC SC members in representing KSC in repsective Regions meetings. Regions Cooperation • Request SAI Mexico to seek support of OLACEFS in KSC Activities at OLACEFS General Assembly. • Participation in KSC research Projects and WG activities, • Assitance in translation of KSC documents in Spanish. • KSC Secretariat ready to provide background support.
