Introduction Internet safety is the most important thing you will learn from the New You Campaign. Without it, your computer will be overcome with viruses. Netiquette is also important. Use it or get put in jail.
Netiquette is based on the golden rule; treat others the way you want to be treated. Use this online and you should have no problems. Other basic rules are: stay calm online, never let your feelings get the best of you, think before you type/click, and try to take another person’s view before you do something.
Internet Safety – Personal Information Giving personal information on the Internet will land you in big trouble. Never give out your personal information online. Hackers can take this information and use it against you. Personal information includes your full name, passwords, e-mail address, residence address, and phone number.

Web Downloads • Web downloads are dangerous and can be filled with viruses • Free downloads are usually to good to be true and normally have websites • Only download from websites that you trust wholly • Do not download from websites that you doubt; When in doubt throw it out
