Official Transcripts for UMMC Faculty Policy and Procedure • The Official Transcripts for UMMC Faculty Policy and Procedure requires all faculty provide an official transcript and foreign transcripts must also be evaluated by a UMMC approved credentialing service. • UMMC requires a COURSE BY COURSE U. S. equivalent evaluation from either: – World Education Services (WES); – Education Credential Evaluators (ECE); or – Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools

Credentialing Services • WES ICAP Course by Course is recommended because they send a course by course U. S. equivalent evaluation IN ADDITION to a certified copy of the transcript they received from the applicant’s foreign university to UMMC. • If another service is used, the applicant is responsible for providing the official transcript in addition to the credentialing service sending the Course by Course equivalent evaluation. *See the UMMC policy and procedure for more details.

UMMC Needs Course by Course Evaluation AND an Official Transcript • Keep in mind if you use ECE for your Course by Course evaluation, you will still need to provide UMMC with an official transcript from the school where you received your terminal degree in a sealed envelope or have it sent to the UMMC registrar’s office or the Office of Faculty Affairs at Facultyaffairs@umc. edu. • See the Official Transcripts for UMMC Faculty Policy and Procedure for more details.

Important Information • Do not forget to ask for the COURSE by COURSE evaluation. • Start the process early! • If your school transcript cannot be evaluated by WES or ECE contact your department business administrator. • This presentation is designed as a guide.
