International Study of Arctic Change Arctic Science Summit Week 15 -18 April 2010, Nuuk
Brief Background Formed following 2003 SEARCH Open Science Meeting A growing consensus on need for international program to address system-scale changes occurring in the Arctic Scientific questions and need for robust information transcend the capabilities of any one nation or even consortia of nations Societal need for information rapidly increasing.
Science Plan f E al i r o dit oo Pr
Science Questions Framed around a series of key questions, the ISAC science program is directed towards building capacity for understanding and predicting changes and providing high quality scientific information useful for minimizing the adverse effects changes across all components of the Arctic System, including the human component. The Science Plan also describes a series of iterative implementation activities, some of which are now underway.
