History • ISO & IEC Joint Technical Committee “ 1”: Information technology – started 1987 – OGC involved in various groups: big data, imagery, sensors, … & smart cities – OGC listed as a “Category C liaison”, participate in working groups – OGC listed as liaison with four subgroups: – – – WG 9 Big Data SC 24 Computer graphics & image processing SC 29/WG 1 Coding of still pictures SC 31 Automatic identification and data capture Was in liaison with WGs on Sensors and Internet of Things – OGC liaison with WG 11 still hasn’t got through the system (as at 6 th April 2018) – TC 211 also has liaison status with JTC 1, active in: • WG 9 Big Data; WG 11 Smart Cities; SC 41 Internet of Things – including Chris Body • SC 24 Computer graphics; SC 29/WG 1 Coding of still pictures OGC ® Copyright © 2018 Open Geospatial Consortium; Ordnance Survey.
