STRENGTHS • Yunnan (border province, ethnic diversity environmental hot spot, weather) • SIRYU support: Prof Zhao, resources, lectures • Counterparts • General willingness to meet, share, & discuss
CHALLENGES • The coffee is terrible • Lots of “leg work” on the ground to set up internships • Being unable to read, write, or speak • Cultural barriers were at times difficult to overcome
Overall • • • Program was a great success Much learnt despite barriers Everybody had a fun time
