What is ICS? International Citizen Service, or ICS, is a volunteering opportunity for 18 – 25 year olds, backed by the UK Government and led by VSO. To volunteer you don’t need cash, skills or qualifications – just the ambition to make a difference.
Where does ICS work? ICS works in some of the poorest countries in the world – currently ICS operates in over 25 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America

What you could be doing? ICS works with local communities to make sure people can; • Enterprise & Business - Earn a decent living by working with businesses and enterprises to help them grow. • Education - Get a good education by encouraging more young people to attend school, but also make sure they are included once they are in school. • Health - Get the information they need so they can stay safe and healthy by reaching out to young people about topics like sexual health and personal hygiene. • Civil Rights - Live in a fairer world by making sure that children, young people, women and disabled people know their rights. • Environment - Protect their environment by supporting communities to protect their environment for the future, and to adapt to the effects of climate change.
