History of International Baccalaureate �IB originated in Geneva, Switzerland in 1965 �IB Americas office is located in Bethesda, Maryland �There are currently 4, 562 IB World Schools in 136 countries �There are 1, 769 IB Programs in the United States, including Diploma Program, Career-related Program, Middle Years Program, and Primary Years Program (we have all four in our district!) �Each year, approximately 80% of the students who attempt the IB Diploma earn it.

IB Assessment Fees �For DP and CP students: �One-time registration fee of $172* �Exam fee of $119* per exam $886 for DP candidates (6 IB subjects) �For “course-candidate” students: �Registration fee of $172* for each year testing �Exam fee of $119* per exam $410 for CP candidates (2 IB subjects) Exam fees are due in full by November 1 of the year(s) you will be testing, or students/families can go on a payment plan of eight equal payments from October to May of the testing year(s). *May 2018 Exam Fees
