PRO® III Interface • A cash drawer can be connected to a POS system in many ways. The most common way is to connect a drawer to a receipt printer • The Multi. PRO® interface allows the drawer to be connected to many different POS printers by simply changing the external cable that is wired for that printer • All POS printers have a RJ 11 port commonly called a DK port for connecting the drawer. The printer can be connected to the POS system via USB, Serial, Ethernet and even a parallel port. The command to open the cash drawer is provided by the POS system to the printer.
