Interesting Facts 19 December 1843 On 19 th December in 1843, Charles Dickens’ novel “A Christmas Carol” was first published. It popularised the phrase “Merry Christmas”. It was about the transformation of Scrooge from a mean old man to a generous spirit.

Well done Tamsin, Elsie-Mae and Shannon for passing different stages in Gymnastics! Tamsin has passed level 8, and Elsie-Mae & Shannon have now passed level 2. The girls explained that the levels start higher up and go down to level 1, and then on to Bronze, Silver or Gold levels. Keep it up girls!
