1 American man called Mr. Todd, when he start to eat, he eat with his left hand, so that Indian family interrupt mister Todd during he eats and tell him to should not eat with his left hand, because they thinking and beliefs that the left hand is not clean and we can’t using for eating. In this case, I think the Indian family they have high culture of uncertainty avoidance compared to American people they have low culture, so the uncertainty avoidance means that measures the cultural behavior that’s divided into high culture and low culture, so the high culture is have more roles and structures and cling it with less comfortable. But the law culture of uncertainty avoidance that more relaxed and comfortable, and more tolerant of taking risks. (Smit, 2012) So as I noticed in this movie that the Indian family they directly telling to American man in which hand that he should eat.

2 During Indian man explain to mister Todd and show him the place of work. That mister Todd see that cow in the presentation room or in the place of work, American man surprised when he seeing the cow in their company, then that Indian man calling to someone to take the cow outside. According to the six dimensions, in this action I think Indian people or India country are more indulgence, and the meaning of indulgence is to give in to something or to treat with unearned favor or to be tolerance in something (indulge), as I see in this positions, the Indian people more tolerance and indulging than American people. Characteristics of indulgence: * The behavior or attitude of people who allow themselves to do what they want or who allow other people to do what they want *The act of doing something that you enjoy but that is usually thought of as wrong or unhealthy

3 That Indian man pastes an paper on the door, that he writing on it “Mr. Todd do not go out today”, but mister Todd he doesn’t see the paper when he leave his room, when mister Todd came outside he surprised because there is everything with colorful but he don’t understand what happen outside and he complete to his way, then he meet his friend that called Perot, then Perot he explain to Mr. Todd that what happen is the week of celebration of color, then he accept the situation and celebrated with them. In this part, I think the most dimension is explained that is uncertainty avoidance, and American people have low culture of that, so as what I see in this part, the American man which is mister Todd he direct accept that celebration and he try to live with, so the score of uncertainty of America is 46 compared to the India there score is 40. (Uncertainty Avoidance) Also uncertainty avoidance deals with a society’s tolerance for uncertainty and ambiguity; it ultimately refers to man’s search for Truth

4 During the employees in the presentation room, suddenly they open Indian song to show to their manager which is mister Todd the traditional song of their country, and the employee stand up to start dancing, then they take their manager to stand up to start dancing with them, then all the employees and employers start dancing together, after that they all laughing and happy of Here I find out of the six dimension, that is the power distance is the most one that dancing with the song. suitable to this part, so the meaning of the power distance refers to the way in which power is distributed and the extent to which the less powerful accept that power is distributed unequally. Put simply, people in some cultures accept a higher degree of unequally distributed power than do people in other cultures(Cultural Differences - The Power Distance Relationship, 2011). The score of power distance in India is 77, but the power distance of the United states is 40. So as l see in this part of movie, the relationship between the employees and their manager like a friend, they don’t have limit between their relationship. (the hofstede centre)

5 Mister Todd asks set and talking with that Indian girl they called Aisha, and he ask her about what will people or neighbor thinking about them during they set together or hold their hands, and she answer to mister Todd, all the neighbor will talk about her because when she was young she engaged and soon she will get married so that why Aisha tell mister Todd to don’t hold her hand be like business man with In this action, I think that American have low context culture, so the meaning of low his employee. context culture is described a communication style that depends on explicit and direct language. And characteristic of low context is focuses on the logic and fact, and moreover of low context characteristic is task or goals are more important than relationship.
