Warm Ups Every week, Lecture days will be started and ended with short activities where you answer questions and write short responses. These will have a specific page in your notebook for every week. Be sure to leave room after your agenda page!

Guided Reading Earth Science 3 guided reading pages will be given to you at the start of Week One to do as part of your notebook. You’ll be given class time to work on these. Anything you don’t finish in class you must finish at home! Each Guided Reading is worth 100 points.

Notebooks Every Week • Notebook checks will now happen every two weeks instead of every Monday. • The average notebook check will be worth 1700 points. Notebook Extra Credit: Every Week Ø Marking your notes with highlighter: § If you go back and re-read your notes while making important information with a highlighter, you will get an additional 50 points of extra credit. If you do all sections that’s 200 points. Ø Scientific sketches in notes: § If you add labeled, scientific sketches to your notes, you will get an additional 50 points of extra credit. If you do all sections that’s 200 points. Ø Above and Beyond Output Pages: § If you go above and beyond in your level of work for the Output Pages, you will earn an additional 50 points of extra credit. This would look like extra detailed sketches or excellent coloring, well constructed sentences, or interesting ideas. That’s 200 points if you do all sections.
