Copyright If you make a piece of media like a movie song or book will keep other people from stealing it and saying it is theirs. If you make a copyright with a bunch of other people they each get a share of the credit. Although there are ways for people to use it like the original author credit or making a parody. Definition: The right of an author or originator of a literary or artistic work to have exclusive use of that work for a given period of time.

Copyright Infringement is the basic violation of rights secured by a copyright. An example

Copyright Infringement is the basic violation of rights secured by a copyright. An example of a violation of these rights is re-selling a product that was originally sold by another company. There can be serious penalties if you are charged with Copyright Infringement. You can be charged up to 150, 000 dollars for each work infringed, plus the total of damages and profits received by the violator. You may also go to jail.
