Access – a crucial point Access conditions: – IMPACT will be running during the whole LS 1, which means that each activity will be approved by the coordination team and the safety officers. – From T 0 to end of warm-up: • Sec. 23, 45, 56, 78, 81: • Sec. 12, 34 & 67: – Till start of cool-down: – Cool-down: Restricted/closed mode w. r. t. powering tests Closed mode from 300 K to 80 K General (underground = free)* Closed from 300 K to 80 K Restricted after 80 K – Powering tests: Restricted / Closed according to the access matrix * Points 3 and 7 will be set in general mode, following RP green light M. Maintenance & consolidation Electrical Engineering: • Consolidation of the extraction breakers 600 A • Installation of snubber capacitor banks in the RFQ/RQD circuits • Revision of DQS in quadrupoles • Replacement of the arc chutes on quadrupoles • DQRB dump resistors (13 k. A) • Upgrade and ELQA of cabling for IPQ’s and IPD’s • Controls & ACQ topics – field –bus changes • n. QPS extension and completion Electronics for Protection • BIS Change the CPU module of all VME systems installed in the LHC • DYPB activities (only underground activities are included in the schedule) • Replace the CIBF units: • Install f-o monitoring for the beam permits loops: • SMP – change the CPU module for two SMP controllers: • Energy extraction for the 600 A circuits mitigation package: • Maintenance and protection of 600 A and quench loop controller M.
