No. 4: Setting up of a GIS Lab Action taken: SLNA in the last meeting has decided to explore the possibilities of sharing the facilities of existing GIS lab for the works of GIS for IWMP projects. Accordingly KSLUB agreed to share the lab facilities to SLNA also. KSLUB commissioner and CEO SLNA have entered to a Mo. U in this subject for one year.

No. 5: Posting of Experts in SLNA & WCDCs Action taken Government has constituted new interview board with LSGD secretary as chairman and CRD&CEO as convener for selection of experts in SLNA and WCDC. The notification for filling the posts in SLNA and WCDC were issued and the sufficient applications received. The interview is fixed on 15 -02 -2013 for the selection of experts.

No. 12: Technical Scrutiny of DPRs Action taken • Based on the decision a technical committee was constituted with subject experts from SS&SC department, KSLUB and SLNA. • A total of 21 DPRs (10 DPRs from batch-1 project & 11 DPRs from batch-2 projects) were received. • 14 DPRs are scrutinized by the committee and is placed to this forum for approval as agenda item number-5.

• Entry Point Activities (EPA) started with people’s participation and inaugurations conducted at PIA level with Ministers and Other People Representatives. • State specific guidelines are under preparation for Livelihood Activities and Production System enhancement under IWMP. • A comprehensive convergence plan evolved and shared by PRIs and officials and started initiatives with the schemes MGNREGS, BRGF and other developmental schemes with that of the IWMP. • The IWMP implementation is all set out for rolling out in the State. Expected outcome is that the physical and financial progress will go up within three months.

The selection may be done on a transparent manner by constituting a ‘committee’.

Agenda Item No. 12: NWDPRA XI Plan- Proposal for Rs. 4. 71 Crores under RKVY- ratification in SLNA • National Watershed Development Programme of Rainfed area (NWDPRA XI Plan) is being implemented in the state in selected 134 micro watershed for treating an area of 84415 Ha. • The state has so far recived only 23. 26 Crores from Go. I out of the total project cost of Rs. 101. 29 Crores. • Funds for completion of NWDPRA is to be requested from RKVY. • A proposal for treating 3925 Ha of the balance watershed area under NWDPRA has been prepared by the Soil Survey & Soil Conservation Department. Estimated cost is Rs. 4. 71 Crores • APC has permitted the Department forwarding the proposal to PPM cell for consideration in SLSC meeting. This may be ratified in the SLNA meeting.
