Synergy of waste • Sachin- G. I. D. C. hosts about 55 dyeing & printing mills and about 35 dyeintermediates manufacturing units. - On one hand chemical units generate concentrated waste water which needs to be evaporated. Evaporation process is fuel intensive and cost of fuel is ever increasing. - On other hand textile mills generate textile shredding waste(Chindhhi) which is by and large polyester based and has good calorific value. Which is dumped in landfills or burnt otherwise. MEPPL has set up an integrated waste management facility where syn gas is generated from textile waste and used in evaporation of chemical waste water.

Now this technology is commercially marketed under brand name Water. X. q Water-X is Electro Coagulation (EC) based wastewater treatment and recycling system.
