Strategic Guidance Integrity - Service - Excellence 3
Strategic Vision • Establish an integrated operations environment in which the 50 th Space Wing provides Space Force Enhancement and Space Support to global military operations during all phases of conflict Integrity - Service - Excellence 4
50 th Space Wing Objectives • Establish an integrated operations environment at Schriever Air Force Base to provide proactive and dynamic synergistic effects to global military operations in both a contested and uncontested environment by 2020 Integrity - Service - Excellence 5
50 th Space Wing Objectives Ø Conduct uncontested Space Force Enhancement (SFE) and Space Support (SS) operations, utilizing a common architecture. Ø Provide synergistic SFE, SS, and Cyberspace effects to the warfighter in a joint environment. Ø Operate 50 SW assets using a consolidated mission plan (MP). Ø Expedite information flow using net centric links to HHQ and the warfighter, when DIRLAUTH is granted. Ø Integrate Crew Force Management (CFM) into the IOE so that training, evaluation, and all certification requirements are met by crews. Ø Maximize situational awareness (SA) in the IOE by integrating SSA, Cyber SA, and operational SA provided by geographic COCOMs Ø Provide network defense for SS of 50 SW networks, links, and nodes. Integrity - Service - Excellence 6
Assumptions • Space and cyberspace are domains with evolving technologies and threats • Due to these advancements, these domains are more contested • Phase milestones and trigger points will be defined • As required, operations will be conducted in a SCIF • Maximum integration of functions across all phases Integrity - Service - Excellence 7
Assumptions • HHQ (JSPOC, GSSC, etc) relationships are molded into our future models • MD and MP Cell (MPC) will receive tasking (JSTO, SSR, etc. ) updates from theater via HHQ • Phase 3: A common architecture will be in place • Contact operators will be certified in all missions • CONOPS will include a paradigm shift to focus on usercentric or effects-based operations • Phase 2: Joint partners will be invited to operate on IOE ops floor • 53 rd Sig Bn, 6 SOPS, NAVSOC Integrity - Service - Excellence 8
