Integrated Numerical Simulation of the Solar-Terrestrial Environment • We show here the geospace coupling of our project, which is the most complex • Three core codes which are strongly coupled together - LFM, RCM, TI*CGM • Communication channels via the Inter. Comm package (http: //www. cs. umd. edu/projects/hpsl/chaos/Research. Areas/ic/) • Data interpolation and manipulation Coupling processes using the capabilities of the Overture package (http: //www. llnl. gov/CASC/Overture/) • Current Status of project • Separate (two-way) coupling between the LFM and TING (one of the TI*CGM family) codes and the LFM and RCM codes using Inter. Comm • Initial implementation of the Electrostatic Potential Coupler for LFM-TING (interpolation, grid rotation, …) in Overture • Initial design for extension EP Coupler to low latitude • Future Focus • Implement Inner Magnetosphere Coupler in Overture • Create Inter. Comm linkage and Overture coupler for coronal and heliosphere codes • Test optimize combined Inter. Comm/Overture framework • Develop and field test user documentation 4
