Helpful Hints Complete your profile completely and accurately. You will match to more Dollars for Scholarship America scholarships if you provide complete information. Check back frequently to see if you qualify for additional scholarship opportunities. New scholarships are added periodically. Make sure the following sections have been completed before selecting “Apply” for any scholarships. • Basic Information – Items with one or more stars next to them must be completed • Additional Information – Demographic information must be completed. We do not need Other information at bottom. However, you may not be matched to other scholarships if you do not complete this sub-section • Schools – This entire section for those with one or more stars next to it needs to be completed • Activities – This section needs to be completed. For each Dollars For Scholars event you have participated in please provide a separate activity. Use this information to help fill in one of our additional questions when applying for our scholarship • Awards – Please complete this section with any known scholarships you have been awarded and the amount of each award if financial • Parent/Guardian Information – For those 18 or older you do not need to complete this section • Financial Info – Please provide your FAFSA EFC. You may have your parents complete their financial information to help you be matched to other scholarships • Essay – Please complete the two essays All other sections do not need to be completed for you to apply for the Upward Bound at USM Dollars for Scholarship.
