The total area of organic farming increased in 2007 to 151, 780 ha from 17, 438 ha put to organic farming in 2000. The areas put to cereals, fodder crops and pastures, and oleaginous and proteic crops are increasing in 2007. The areas of vegetables and fruits , and the collection of forest fruit showed also an increase in the period 2000 -2007. In the animal husbandry sector we are also recording an increase in the number of dairy cows and dairy sheeps. In 2003 it was created the first organic farm for laying hens and this sector is developing in 2007.
