End User Analysis When it comes to providing a website solution, Neutronium Consulting wants to ensure the puzzle piece fits just right. We do this by being committed to smart analysis of end-user interviews. User Profiles There will be three primary types of users accessing the Insta. Book website. • Employees • IT • Customers We interviewed the following employees and took the information gained from those interviews to improve on the new web site design. President- Harold Kern – “We want the site to diversify their customer base” Vice president of Administration – Larry Luddite - “Keep it user – friendly” Vice President of Sales – Ting-Lin Lee - “Let’s use the site as a tool but never loose the human contact!” Vice President of Assembly – Liza Cornwall – “Wants the site to improve operational tasks” Vice President of Technology – Jack Monroe – “Intergrate company video and don’t forget our disabled clients” These executives gave us a great understanding of Instabook. The interviews with them led us to understand where they want to take their company and how a fully functional web site can help them get there. Data Sources • Current web sales records • Instabook employee’s • Current instabook sales records • International Center for Disability Resources on the Internet • Interviews with customers and letters written to Instabook by Instabook’s customer base. 4 Further data collection plans • We plan to conduct future interviews with staff again after 6 months and again after one year of full operation of our new site. • We want to keep the employees perspective at the forefront of our design. They have tremendous impact on the success of the site. • We will also be allowing customers to fill out feedback surveys to help us understand how they are using the site. Team Neutronium
Style Guide General Look and Feel • Simplicity is the ultimate goal • Since this is a company transitioning from print media to online delivery, we want the background image of all pages to be reminiscent of paper. • Keeping things simple will allow for a clean user experience, and allow us to focus on the great content that Instabook provides. Page Layout Description 5 • The basic layout of each page of the website will be a navigation bar at the top and bottom of each page, with the body of each page below. • The headings at the top of the page will correspond to the main areas of the site (Home, About Us, Sales, Technical Support, etc. ) • The body of each page will be a mixture of text, graphics, and other multimedia as needed. Team Neutronium
Style Guide Font Information • We will use Verdana for the majority of fonts on the site. Verdana is a simple, clean font that is consistent with Instabook’s philosophy. • Here’s an example of what Verdana looks like. Fonts will vary in size, and will be bold in areas to draw the user’s attention. Color Information 6 • We will gather our color inspiration from Instabook’s corporate logo ----> • To assist in ease of reading, we will avoid pairing certain colors, such as red and green, in a foreground/ background orientation. Team Neutronium
Target Technical Audience • the majority of Instabook’s customer base (90%) is using the Microsoft Windows OS environment • the remaining 10% are using Apple’s Mac OS X, or some variation of the Linux OS Based on this information, the minimum user requirements for Instabook’s website are: Processor: higher Memory: higher Display Resolution: Colors: Optical Disk: 6 x or above Hard Drive: capacity or greater 7 1. 2 GHz or 1 GB RAM or 1024 x 768 32 bit CD/DVD writer 250 GB Team Neutronium

The remaining 5% use dial-up Internet access. • For the 5% that are currently using dial-up Internet access, we will offer a stripped down (text-only, limited multimedia) version of the site. • On the first visit to the site, the user will select access to the full Instabook site, or a strippeddown version designed for slower network connections. • Visitors will also have the option to view the site in standard or large font, with our without styling, and in standard or inverted contrast. • Minimum Web Browser Requirements Internet Explorer 6 or above Firefox 3. 6 or above Google Chrome Apple Safari 5 or above Team Neutronium
