This is relevant for business organizations with a strong hierarchical structure. • Horizontal : • Each person has an opportunity to communicate on the same level. This is relevant for a business with many departments, which requires the relevant managers to communicate with each other for the good of the business as a whole.

Sender • The initiative subject This is the organization or person who has information or knowledge and feels the need of passing the information forward to other organization or person. • Sender objective is to convey a message, and the responsibility is to convey the message in a way that the receiver will understand
Inspire Everyone. Excel Everyday. Impact Everywhere. Coding • Passing the information in the way that is accepted and understood by the partner in communication • Coding is a conversion of opinions/ ideas/ feelings into proper form • It is based on words, digits, gestures, pictures, symbols. . .

When adapting the message the following things can matter: a) Traditions b) Religious beliefs c) Social classes d) Education and experience e) Age and gender f) Health g) Personality, IQ h) Occupation, interests i) Language

Receiver • The person or organization to whom the information is aimed it. • Objectives receiver is to take action based on the message and to understand the words and intent of the message and the responsibilities is to actively listen and interpret the message in the way the sender intended

Feedback • The reaction of receiver after getting the message • Shows if the message has been -Received -Understood -Properly interpreted • Reaction can be positive or negative – Positive: acting, confirmation in words or written, rephrasing the message, smile, nodding, gesture. . . – Negative: lack of action, improper action, lack of written response, mistakes in repeated message, silence, protest gestures. . .

Disturbances • The things that can cause the change in interpretation of the message or just distract from understanding it properly • Technical noises (spoiled printer, bad telephone connection, bad handwriting. . . ) • Psychological noises (emotions, prejudice, different personality, different culture. . . ) • Others (Information overload, wrong person got the message)
