Purpose o To evaluate the effectiveness of the LEND and DBP Training programs in meeting the goals and objectives of the Combating Autism Act Initiative. o We will conduct independent evaluations of each training program.
Overview of Methodology o Quantitative Data Collection n NIRS new module o LEND: Grantees awarded CAAI funds in FY 09 will be asked to report in 09 and 2010; other grantees will be asked to report in 2010. o DBP: the 6 programs awarded CAAI funds in FY 09 will be asked to report in 09 and 2010. Other DBPs will not be asked to report. n Additional quantitative data may be obtained from the EHB.
Overview of Methodology o Qualitative Data Collection n Summary progress reports o For grantees awarded CAAI funds in FY 09, we will extract data from summary progress reports for FY 2009 and 2010. n In-depth interviews o LEND: 22 grantees will be interviewed in 09; all will be interviewed in 2010. o DBP: 6 CAAI grantees awarded CAAI funds in FY 09 will be interviewed in 09 and 2010. o OMB Clearance request for In-depth interviews
