Storage The main storage feature on most computers is the hard disk drive, but we also use peripherals as backing storage; to make extra copies for backup or to move data to another computer. CD/DVD flash memory hard disk Cloud storage 8 of 13

Storage peripherals Cloud storage – you pay a monthly fee to store your data online CDs and zip disks hold about 700 MB of data. DVDs and flash memory cards can hold much more, between 4 -8 GB, and this is likely to increase over time. An external hard drive will provide maximum data storage. It works the same as a normal hard drive but is portable and holds a huge amount of data (some can store over 1, 000 GB). 9 of 13
