Founded in 2006 Dimension Molding Asia was established in Hong Kong by Mike Stiglianese, the current owner of Micro Mold and Dimension Molding, to service the market in Asia. Multiple Currency Capability Dimension Molding Asia can do business in numerous different currencies, but the majority of business is conducted in USD. Production Facility in China Dimension Molding Asia currently operates a production facility conveniently located just outside of Suzhou, about an hour from Shanghai. Micro Mold was founded in 1963 by Max Brown and William Stiglianese. As the name implies, the focus of this mold making company outside Chicago was small to medium sized, high precision molds. After more than fifty years, Micro Mold’s client base still expects long-lasting, precision tooling for products with tight tolerances.

Dimension Molding was founded in Villa Park, Illinois in 1969 to support the production requirements of certain Micro Mold customers. In 1981 Dimension Molding and Micro Mold Early Dimension Production moved to their current, larger location in Addison to support their growing needs. In the USA, Dimension Molding currently operates 20 injection molding machines ranging from 25 to 310 tons, including vertical rotary and electric presses. Molds are matched to production equipment so parts are processed properly. Injection press tonnage, barrel size, dryer throughput and temperature control systems are all selected for maximum efficiency. Robots, sprue pickers and other equipment are added as needed.

Before production can begin a work order with a picture of the part, the part name and number, the material used and other critical information is printed and placed at the press.

Only approved materials go into your products so you can be sure that your parts are made from the material that you have specified. Desiccant dryers with dew point monitors are used for hygroscopic materials (PC, ABS, Nylon, etc. ) to eliminate splay, cracking and other issues that hot-air dryers may cause. Self-loading equipment is used and material control procedures are rigorously followed to avoid contamination.

Dimension Molding Wujiang Our production facility was ISO 9001: 2008 certified by SGS in 2011 and maintains ISO 9001: 2015 certification. Quality Control Plans Control plans are created for all production demanding rigorous enforcement of your standards. First Article Inspection Reports Dimensions are analyzed when new molds are run, helping create a standard to work from during production. Common Issues are Highlighted Potential issues unique to specific parts are noted with information posted at the press during production. This keeps operators up-to-date on problems that may arise.

Quality instruments are officially certified every year by the official measurements and testing bureau to ensure accuracy. Quality data is kept almost exclusively in a digital format allowing for your ease of access as well as allowing us to readily perform statistical analysis when needed.

Continuous Improvement We work to continuously improve by evaluating, planning and implementing changes that increase efficiency and minimize the risk of errors while heavily promoting these efforts. Maximizing value starts with part design. Working closely with Micro Mold’s team of expert mold makers, we strive to find solutions that may have been previously unexplored. Years of experience have shown that small design enhancements can reduce tooling costs, lengthen mold life, improve production efficiency and enhance part consistency and quality.

Using our knowledge of plastic injection molding we can present quality and process control plans that maximize efficiency and minimize rejects. That keeps us focused on making your plastic parts to the highest standard rather than generating paperwork.

Customized Software System Internally developed software system for tracking production as well as printing work orders and labels helps ensure that production is done right the first time. Minimize Waste and Maximize Value Producing scrap leads to increased costs. Material, equipment, molds and personnel must all come together properly for the utmost efficiency. Internal Tracking Dimension Molding Wujiang tracks internally rejected parts and our scrap rates tend to be extremely low.

While trimming, cutting and similar activities have their place, rising labor costs in China make them increasingly expensive. So we design and maintain molds to a high standard in order to minimize the necessity of additional operations. Robots and conveyors are used when appropriate in order to keep labor costs low. Production quality also benefits from increased automation.
